Camellia House closed in March 2020. From 2005 – 2020, we served thousands of guests and hundreds of yearly gatherings in our five tea spaces.
At various times of the year, these opened and closed with the seasons.
Each space was designed and built by Rebecca Cragg and assistants. If you’re interested in having her help you design a dream tatami space, feel free to get in touch!

Rebecca closed Camellia Teas in 2020 and moved. She donated 4.5 mats to a tea student and left the outdoor tea house as it was for the new owners of Camellia House. She currently enjoys a private 12-mat tea space where she receives close family and friends (but not members of the general public).

FAQ
Can I visit your new location?
No. Our new location is private and not open to the public.

I live in the Ottawa area, is there a tearoom I can visit?
No tearooms we know of are open to the public. Tea rooms (with tatami and people who know how to do tea ceremony) are in the private residences of tea practitioners who do not open their doors to the public. Access to tea spaces like these is by invitation only (Camellia Teas does not provide referrals).
